Some Bold IE6 content now bold itallic/ malware?

Recently had a problem on my pc with 2 spyware progs, I cleaned them as I normally would (CCleaner & Spybot & Windows defender) but ever since IE6 (onXP) has displayed some webpage's bold content as bold italic. I checked my fonts and they all seem to be present and correct.

What is strange is that it only affects certain sites contents, for example it doesn't seem to affect google and the only text it affects here is the black breadcrumb text at the top. Also it affects firefox as well as IE....

Any Ideas? Greatly appreciated

I rang Dell to see what they reccomended to fix the problem, and they said do a system restore, dunno if my restore points don't go back far enough or what, but it didn't work.
I had read somewhare that I may have damaged a registry key or some System32 files with my hachet cut and paste job and the best thing to do was re-install XP over the top of the current installation to repair settings and keys etc,
tried it....worked like a dream
