Emailing into a Database!

Hi

on our server we are looking to set it up so that emails that are address to a certain email address somehow get inserted into a row in a SQL server database. But we have been scratching our head for quite some time now and the best thing we can come up with is paying some on to copy and paste them in manually. Does anyone know of a better way? I think we have to stick to micrsoft mail server as well.

An advice would be greatly recieved.

For linux theres fetchmail in combination with procmail, but if I remember correct, the equivalent solution for windows, comes with a rather nasty price tag.
Altho some claim to have procmail working under CygWin, aswell with fetchmail, I havn't got any info on how to do it tho.

I've used the JavaMail API to grab stuff from an e-mail account and process it. It worked quite well. Connect, process the mail, insert the stuff you want into the database via JDBC.

Note that the link is actually to a depricated API - while you can use it by itself, JavaMail is now part of J2EE.
