Replacement for the Windows command-line box?

With Cygwin, I have a nice replacement for the Windows command shell - all nice and unixy. The one problem I have though is that it's all contained in that dreadful Windows command-prompt box - the one you can't really resize and it a pain in the ass to highlight, copy and paste from/into. Anyone know of a replacement for it? I can get a replacement if I fire up X, but I really don't want to do that, as it's a real drain on the system.

You can always get the Windows Services for UNIX, and use it's Korn or C shell.

Also, if you want to change your desktop shell......

Do either of those contain a replacement for the command-box? I've looked into complete shell replacements, but it seemed a bit of an overkill for what I wanted, plus I wasn't quite sure it would even replace the command-box.

I had heard of Microsoft's Windows Services for Unix, but I hadn't really looked at it. It sounds interesting, like it might actually work better than Cygwin. Know of a place I could download it from that doesn't require me to get a Passport uid/pass (sorry, I'm paranoid about that thing)?
