I.E. filestream over https breaking

I have a PHP script which streams a file download through the browser. This used to work ok until I moved the link to a secure page.

In https, it will download on firefox, but I.E. errors out.

Is there anything that might cause this?

It's Microsoft's way of making doubly sure youre data is secure. If someone somehow manages to intercept your secure transmission, they can only get part of the message, as IE thwarts their attempts by cutting all https transmissions short.
