DNS Dying . . .

I just reinstalled XP Pro, taking care of a number of problems but now I have a very odd new one. After some length of time (I think it varies, I haven't been able to track exactly how long), I can't resolve DNS names anymore. IP's still work, but I have to fire up services and restart the DNS client.

Anyone have any ideas about this one?

Have you tried ipconfig /flushdns ??

That would, I assume, solve the problem in the short run. However, would that really be any different from restarting the service?

What is the length of time you are holding queried zones?

You know, I haven't the foggiest. How can I find that out?
