can't access bios

i'm trying to install linux on an older win2k, intel p4 box, and i can't access the bios anymore. ever since i ran the intel update for the mobo i can't press delete to access it anymore.

anyone ran into this before?

Did the key change? Could be any of the F keys (F1-12) or ESC.

Does it do anything when you press the DEL key?

I've never seen this; installing a Windows driver should have zero effect on the BIOS boot process. Have you tried holding down 'DEL' when first powering up the machine? (not just hitting DEL when it says to, actually hold it down and keep it down until the BIOS screen appears)

thanks for the responses quickly =) ... and hey BDL! =)

well i update the BIOS too .. did i forget to mention that?

hehe, .. i shoulda known that it wasn't the win mobo update.

i've tried all keys .. nothing works =/

and yes, i've tried holding down too ... not holding down all keys though lol

i'll keep working with it.
