CaN Opener is on a distinguished road
xp pro and iis

i curently run a xp server(500mhz emachine 156 sdram 10 gig maxtor) for just me and my friends. My main problem is that i have to create admin user names and passes for all of my friends that want to upload. but this brings up several probems, 1st every one has equal rights and can get into each other files and they also have access to things like net meeting romote desktop.

in my quest of solving this problem mcse iis study guide says that only the ntfs partition can give permitions to spasific folders so i converted the fat32 to the ntfs now all of my vdir say i dont have access to view the page even when i have anonmuse access checked and when it prompts me for a user name and pass word i type in the admin and pass and it still stays no dice.

any help at all or redirections to iis or xp pro iis help would be greatfully helpfull

can

Get a sofware server

Xp`s file sharing sucks....not only is it capable of serving files....it is also capable of letting other people into your system to wreak havok as they see fit.
Use a software server program...something like Serv-U or something and forget about the xp file serving.
