force delete from command line

[sde]

i want to delete a directory from the command line without having to give any input:

[SHELL]del c:\test[/SHELL]

when i do that, it asks me if i'm sure .. is there a way to force it?

del c:\test /Q

[sde]

this is weird. .. it executes like it did something without a prompt, but it will not delete my test file.

Do you want to delete the entire directory?

If so: rmdir /s /q c:\test

i hav some items in the recycle bin that won't delete. the message that shows is:

Cannot delete Dc121: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

how do i delete the stupid things?
