C++ Builder Help

Hi Guys

I'm doing my final year project for my degree.
I'll be designing a call logging system, but I haven't decided what language I'll be doing it in yet. VB is one possibility, but my entire class will probably be using VB, and I want to score some brownie points by being origional.
I'm comparing C++ Builder and Delphi at the moment, and while I have found more than enough e-books tuts etc on Delphi, I can't seem to find as much info on C++ Builder. If you guys could post some links to e-books and tuts, especially info about Database programming in Builder...
Also some stuff about Paradox would be appreciated.

Thanks

I assume you mean a system where someone calls in say for tech support and the support person logs what happened in the call?

if that it so have you thought about perhaps a
MySQL/Web-PHP implementation?

Thats exactly the system I need to design, but it has to be a desktop application. People were asking our lecturer if they could do web-based systems, but he said no. We are doing a subject called Internet Programming, which deals with asp, cgi, flash etc. Our lecturer said his course is called Development Software, and by God we will develop "real" software. He's a bit old-school.

welp if you use MySQL as the backend you can access it through C++ and many other languages. You could write a web font end for it later.

I've never used Delphi or Builder. Lately I've been using g++ for my compiler. ofcourse I'm running linux so its the best compiler on linux.
