Hi

Y'ello. this is my first thread

for a while I was using Visual Basic. then I moved onto blitz basic (www.blitzbasic.com) for gaming. But what I really want to use is C++. In both windows application and game development. It's a bit of a vague question, but could anyway help me start? Maybe a link to a tutorial page, or something?

thanks!

(PS. I do know the basics of CPP. Variables, pointers, functions. that sort of thing)

books are your friend. Try reading Bruce Eckel's Thinking in C++; it is available free as an e-book here. There are other books out there as well. Just do a search, you'll find plenty of free e-books, and you could always buy some.

What exactly do you mean by "Windows Applications"?
Applications that use the Win32 API?
For a good C++ Tutorial go here.
For some good Game Development Tutorials go here .
