I need some extra homework

Hi, glad to see my account is still active. Well I'm back at it with the programming kick and I'm liking it. This time however its me and my wife trying to tackle C++. We are using a book called "Beginning C++ through Game Programming, Second Edition by Michael Dawson. The material is great as he does a good job (for us at least) of explaining concepts and showing how they work via his example code. We are nearing the end of chapter two and so far the book has only included one exercise at the end of each chapter.

I don't want to try and take to much on at one time, but I feel like I need some simple programming challenges to help reinforce what I'm getting out of the book
Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I might be able to find some programming challenges or maybe come up with some ideas based on the book I'm working from?

What about number generating and mathematical precisions?
After all everything inside computers is based on binary numbers.

Can you write a Yahtzee (also known as Tali) game?
