Need help writing a script

right i want to write a script.
i want it to be able to look at a site, locate certain numbers, and if certain numbers are identified, then it fills in a number of my choice into a field and then press accept

so using example

a page has numbers changing from 1-100,000 every second right, and when number 340 is shown i want the scritp to fill in 5000 into a field and press accept

how can i write a script like that

please help me....

This sounds alot to me like a php script or web based script of some sort.. pretty far from C/C++ in my mind..
