Compiler Comparison

Hello
does any one knows of a good C++ Compiler Comparison table, I need to get started with C++ and after reading and reading every where, now few answers from the experienced would top it off.

What would my choice be for a compiler for C++/C
Works on both windows and Linux, maybe with heap debugger and some error handling for memory allocation, also with support for “pragma once” feature which automatically prevent a single file from being included more than once, with some kind of “dereferenceing null pointer” error detection. And whatever you think is more options needed, and ohh.. with visual interactive environment and FREE -

Any suggestions or personal choices
“no religious war please”

Thanks

You're asking a lot for free. But start here to orientate:

heap debugger: that's a debugger, not a compiler.
visual interactive environment: that's an IDE, not a compiler.
dereferenceing null pointer: your job as a programmer is not to do stupid things. a c compiler will not protect you from that.
pragma once: why?

there are not too many compilers available that run on both windows and linux. gcc and the intel c compiler are the only ones that you can get for free, off the top of my head (maybe borland?). bloodshed is an IDE that uses gcc.

That's what Joe is basically telling. dev-c++ has a (mingW version) of the gcc compiler. It works both on linux as on Windows. But now I am repeating Joe B. lol
Anyway, devcpp is from Bloodshed.
Perhpaps that you didn't realize .
