Question best C++ book

What's the easiest way to learn C++. Are there any good books you know of? Any good internet tutorials?

I heard good stories about the "Sam teaches.." series. To begin with that is (but that is what you asked for right?). I can't tell. Just a heads up.

Hmm, tutorials on the internet eyh? You know what. I'll post this: http://oopweb.com/CPP/Files/CPP.html
And from there you can explore further. There is an endless amount of tutorials on the net.

Many more resources to help you out. Here are two examples if you like:
- Do you have access to a free newsgroup? If so then subscribe to "alt.comp.lang.learn.c-c++". If you have trouble understanding a concept then you can ask.
- Or you can stay here and try your luck if you like.
- Are you a high-school student who isn't affraid to study hard? Then try to find tutorials on university sites. The good thing about those tutorials is that problems with seemingly simple issues are addressed in clear way. And those professors are often good in short and powerfull explanations.

Wink thanks

thank you. I forgot about the SAMS books. I got one of their books on visual basic, and it was really good. But of course.. I have LINUX now so I sort of need to learn C++. :rock:
