What is the most secure portal system out there?

Mysql, php, Perl is installed.

I would go with php/mysql, and wouldn't use perl.. But thats just based my usual feel of control with mysql/php solutions, you never know where a cgi-script might want to perform it's acts. On the other hand, a false formed mysql request within some php code might prove just as leathal in the wrong hands.

I meant liek pre configured scripts such as Yabb or proboards (Which both suck majorly in my oppinion)

Ahhh.. dont know any.. I tend to build the ones I use from scratch, gives you total control of what task they should perform.

vBulletin is pretty secure. especially the newest versions.
