Androto is on a distinguished road
os x C++ going to folder and reading contents

I know i already asked this in the c++ forum, but this forum is more suitable for this topic. how can i get all of a certain type of files from a directory using c++ (not using terminal commands by using system()) and then copy all of the files to the desktop. this filenames are 36 characters long (not including the extension) and there are also other files in there. so all i need is for the files that end in ".state" to get copied to the desktop.

i.e. ABCDEFGHIJ LKMNOST UVWXY ZABCDF.state

the file name is 36 characters up to but not including the decimal.
