include_path in php.ini

im not sure what to set the include to in my php.ini file. Im trying to install something and it keeps looking to the include dir which is pointing to ".:/usr/share/pear" for some reason. I dont have PEAR installed and not real sure what i should set the ini file include to instead. Ive been searching all day, and dont quite understand what its looking for. Any suggestions?

thats how mine is set up as well, which is why i cant figure out why it looks on ".:/usr/share/pear" Ive tried setting it to the document root of my server but i get the same error except with the document root as the error in the include path
