Question How Can I Make A Secure-ish Login System Without MySQL????

How can I make a semi-secure login system with automatic signups, but with out using MySQL???

You could always use good old Berkeley db, a flat file database using fixed length fields.

and what version of PHP are you using? DJM's suggestion of SQLite will be great if you are using PHP5.
