online test server

Hi
I have just started tckling PHP, but will shortly be moving to a restricted environmentwhere I cannot downloaf programs and have no server access. to continue learning is there anywhere online that could be used to sinulate PHP debugging and output?

I am currently using a PHP Designer 2006 with xampp for debug, and I know xamp won't be let run in the restricted environment.

Also does anyone know any good sites for and amature to start with PHP?

What OS do you use? If you're on windows 2000, XP, or 2003, you can install PHP on your system and use IIS to run it.

I would say this is a good site for people to ask questions, but other than that, I would say that http://php.net/ is a valuable resource.

Other than that, picking up a good PHP book might be a good idea. Books usually offer a throrough and structured approach to the many different features of PHP. WROX is one of my favorite publishers. APress has a lot of good PHP books too.

If you download and burn this cd http://lamppix.tinowagner.com/ , you can use it to boot to a linux srver environment with PHP and Apache. When you're done, you just reboot and remove the disk and the machine is back to normal.
