Deletion of sessions

If I'm logged into my forums and I click on the URL of my main page to my forums, I am automatically logged out. Here are the queries used:

DELETE FROM ibf_sessions WHERE running_time < # or ip_address='#'

INSERT INTO ibf_sessions (id, member_name, member_id, ip_address, browser, running_time, location, login_type, member_group) VALUES (...)

Does anyone have a clue why my board would delete sessions whenever I travel to the main page or leave the site withou logging out???

i know you were working with subdomains, so my question is:

is i possible that your 'home' link is sending you to the home of the other subdomain?

if it is not this, and this is the invisionboard software, you really should not have to hack their code to get it to work. ( unless you hacked it in the first place )

in that case my advice would be to again ask on their forums/support since there is probably more of a setting to change rather than code to hack. i don't think any of the regulars here besides yourself use invisionboard.

if you did hack their code to customize it, focus heavily on the area you modified... and maybe post the area that you suspect.

hmm .. another thing that comes to mind is cookies. i know vbulletin uses cookies to write certain data which keeps you logged in. you may want to clear your cookies as maybe there is just some bad data there.

Yep, check cookies especially if you're using subdomains. I believe IPB runs a delete query on every page request just to clean out old sessions that are over your specified threshold...
