Macintosh Quotes?

I have someone submitting a form that is posting into MySQL. I have no problems with the data getting into the database, but when the info is viewed all quotes are escaped.

This is only happening when the form is being submitted by a Macintosh client (from what I can tell).

Do Macs send quotes in a different format than PC? Is there a work around for this?

Thanks.

matt, i don't have the character, but it should be different than a normal quote.

you may have to do a str_replace("<bad quote>","<good quote>") in the place where you add to your database.

i remember i had a problem with this at work from people creating test questions on macs.

since i don't think the character is on a non mac keybaord, you will probably have to copy and paste the character they entered into your code for the replacement character.
