i thought it would be cool to start a wish list thread .. what do you wish php could do.

i wish there would be time count feature .. for example: maybe i have a script accessing information from another server .. but i could set a time-out limit within my php script to show that the external information is not available at this time if it can not access the data within 2 seconds.

this would be useful for many other things too.
