Permission Issues, Filesize() Ect

Just got into playing with the file system commands, making some scripts to play with files and folders (mainly just to look at directories.

I noticed that I can only get info on files when the script is executed from the same folder as the files I'm trying to get info on.

Could anyone shed any light on Permissions to play with through windows XP ?? Or is it a PHP thing

Thanks

it probably isn't a php thing, and more of a windows permission issue. the php script is acting as the web user .. and must have execute permission on whatever directory you want it to access.

i haven't run into this problem, but perhaps that is some info to start with.
