Nagging question

Ever since I started posting here (I saw a banner on distrowatch) I have been wondering something. I have been poking around this site quite a bit and I am pretty sure that I have looked at just about every page that is accessable to me but I haven't really seen anything that would produce revenue. (hmm, I wonder if I am going to be getting a bill in the mail for signing up...)

So my question is, if this site really doesn't sell anything or create any income, how can you guys get your banners on other sites? Is it some sort of a banner exchange or is there something far more sinister going on here?

Just my natually curious nature coming to bear. (not that this is even partially on the original subject but has anyone ever looked up the definition of the work 'bear'? Talk about a versatile word, 14 different meanings!)

No bill in the mail (unless you would like one :p ) and we've managed to be able to afford enough to put a few banners up in a few places.

Maybe in the future we will try to generate revenue somehow to cover the costs, but it hasnt been an issue for the time being. We have a great hoster Vilitas that i would highly reccomend to anyone, and we own the Vbulletin licence.
