what to drink while coding
I always need something to drink while I'm coding, something to eat too but thats a question for another time.
I'm not a fan of coffee but sodas bad for your teeth (but then again everythings bad for your teeth).
Usually I just drink what ever I have around, what about everyone else?
Extra points for exotic beverages.

Black coffee . Everything else is too expensive, and I always have coffee on hand.

at work i always have a bottle of water next to my monitor (not for the cooling ... well .. just to cool my own body )
i get tea every 30-60 minutes
(we do it by turns .. i have the 8 o'clock shift )
i always buy a can of coca cola coke around 9 am and sometimes another around 2 pm
i always have half a litre of buttermilk with me
when i get home and visit the forums which i didnt have time for at work .. i have a glass of milk first ... and in the evening some glasses of pepsi coke (better than coca cola coke, more sweet, less gass)
it would take a miracle to let me dehydrate :p

Red Bull. Always keeps me active during those long coding sessions, in which I ALWAYS code something, even if it is incorrect, and once it runs I just keep minimizing and optimizing until I have the perfect thing.
However, if it's 12am and I'd rather be going to bed soon, I drink some V8 or some good ol fashioned water (helps flush the fat outta your system(.

lacking the cash money money
Red Bull at two dollars a can is so out of my price range it's not even funny. For two bucks you can buy like a six pack of generic soda so that would probably be my first choice.
Besides it tastes like a candy I used to eat only liquid form, I think they were called Zap Bombs or something, they were ridiculous. They were hard on the outside and on the inside had a powder which reacted with the wetness of your mouth to start fuzzing and it kind of hurt, it was crazy. And now with my many more years of wisdom I realize it was horrible as well.
But then again I eat twinkies and lots of people say those are horrible and I say to them, your right but dammit I'm addicted.

Tsintao, lots andd lots of Tsintao. Doesn't help with figuring out errors, but help you not care about them.

rocking the choco moo juice
Recently I've been drinking chocolate milk like it's my job. While I'm coding, with dinner, in the shower its chocolate milk, chocolate milk, chocolate milk.
I like it because I can controll how chocolatey it is which appeals to the fascist within me that wants to control everything.
They go well with cookies too, and really what more do you need than that. If someone offered to pay me for a job with either money or twice as many cookies I'd be hard pressed to choose, cookies are good.

But I am unfortunately lucky. My school has a beverage machine by the Computer Science lab that has Red Bull along with a large assortment of drinks. There is something off on the machine, and it makes everything cost $1. This brings Red Bull down to the affordable level (one could buy ten cans for $10 rather that $20 + tax), while water (listed as $.70) is raised. Rather use the fountain!
EDIT: Oh! But if you are looking for that extra kick to get you going, you could also use stackers. Personally I don't like stackers or yellow jackets as they a) make me feel agressive, b)cause me to shake too much and become to fidgity, c) are bad for the heart. I once took 3 of them and felt like I was about to have a heart attack, and d) Makes it hard to concentrate
Red Bull is smooth, has none of the above side effects, and I actually feel I can think more smoothly.

Whatever is around. Only at home though, school, no drinks or food in the comp. lab. Usually water, which I need to drink more of, so I stay more hydrated.
