| we've checked with osdn.net, who takes care of advertising for slashdot , .. it's about $40/cpm which comes out to about $4,000 per 100,000 refers. ( a little more than we care to pay )
thats for a regular banner. there is a smaller add, but still a little more than our budget allows for. | |

thats for a regular banner. there is a smaller add, but still a little more than our budget allows for. | no, thats not what i mean. someone should send an email to the writers of slashdot to get this webpage written up as an artical. it wont cost anything. just tell them about how you guys have a forum which caters to new programmers. there is something known as 'the slashdot effect' where whenever they list a page on their site it gets flooded by the massive number of readers. in anycase, this translates to alot of hits and you will probably get a few people to stick around afterwards. | |
