Gmail spam on the rise! argh.

Any use gmail and notice a lot more spam in the last couple days? I don't know if it's more spam, or that it's not getting caught.

I noticed I'm getting a bit of spam, but mostly they're technology related, and it's only one every one or two days, but they're landing in the spam folder, so it's not too bad.

Just remember not to click on them to open them because they usually track those who load images from their e-mails.

i usually don't even pay attention to the ones in the spam folder.. they aren't getting caught and they are landing in my regular inbox. anywhere between 1 and 3 per day.

overall, gmail is pretty good at sorting it out though.

Yeah, it is. They should do some kind of thing where you can temporarily "halt" e-mails to the account, and make it return an e-mail error to the person sending the e-mail. Of course, they would have to put in a list to accept e-mails from, otherwise you might reject some that you do want, heh.

Maybe even just a simple "reply as send error" option to specific e-mails. Who knows.

You can also diable the display of images in gmail. I do that simply because I used to have a 56k, and it was literally killing my connection with the amount of images people luv to send with their e-mail.

I haven't noticed it... I have, however, noticed that Gmail has gotten extremely slow, especially the secure server(s).
