need a sharp website? ...

http://cwdesigners.com/ <-- consider hiring these guys. ... i saw a site designed with a 'front page' theme that was used at my previous employer for their intranet with their site credit on the bottom.

the funny thing is that i found their site from one of their customers. i guess i shouldn't be so mean, but these are 'professionals'

If they are that good then the price is reasonable.

maybe it's just a very very old site that was never taken down or updated?

People surfing the Web are typically impatient. Many are also paying for their web access by the minute or they only get so many hours per month. These are just a few things to keep in mind when designing a web site.
or maybe i'm just insular and acustomed to the US where you just pay monthly for unlimited hours now a days .. then again, the phone is u.s.

This reminds me of going to an Open House, walking into the kitchen only to discover avocado green appliances and a linoleum floor. It's like traveling back in time.

According to Computer Industry Almanac: The number of people who access the Internet at least once a week has increased from 61 million in 1996 to about 147 million today. That number will increase to 320 million by 2000 and 720 million by 2005
I think it's kinda old.

kinda cool, i went to computer industry almanac today and found this: (http://www.c-i-a.com/pr0904.htm)
Quote:
Worldwide Internet Users will Top 1 Billion in 2005.
USA Remains #1 with 185M Internet Users.

September 3, 2004 - The worldwide number of Internet users will reach nearly 935 million in 2004 and will top 1 billion in mid 2005. The U.S. continues to lead with over 185M Internet users forecasted for year-end 2004. There is little Internet user growth in the developed countries, but in the next five years many Internet users will be supplementing PC Internet usage with Smartphone and mobile device Internet usage. Internet usage is growing strongly in China, which surpassed Japan for second place in 2003. The growth of Internet users will continue in the developing countries for another decade.
looks like their forcast from 10 years ago was only off by about 280 million users. not bad considering the large numbers and predicability of the tech industry.
