any electronically smart people on here?

im trying to learn enough about electronics to make a distortion pedal. distortion is like the easiest effect pedal to make. so i figured itd be a good start. but i know very little about electronics. and i was wondering if there was anyone on here who could giev me some help. i got orcads PSPice. but i can't figure out for the life of me how to test schematics with it.

Never used that software, but at long as you use Ohm's Law and Kirkov's (sp?) then you might as well start testing with some parts.

never heard of kirkovs. i need to learn about how certian parts affect electrical currnet. more importantly eq. i just heard about NEETS and downloaded the first few parts. long thing though. the first one is 285 pages in acrobat. and theres 19 of them. so after im done reading all of those im hoping ill have retained enough to make a pedal and a lot more than just distortion.

That's "Kirchoff's" laws if you're planning on doing a google. I never learned more than the basic stuff myself: Ohm's law, what happens to voltage and current in parallel, and what happens in series. That kind of stuff.

i only know how guitar picks ups sound in series compared to parallel. and how to figure out what their output will be in the two different wirings. once im done reading the new harry pothead book(aka harry potter). im tackling on the million page NEETS.
