The opinions flying around remind me of when I discuss feelings about the movie Happieness to others. Talk about a 50/50 chance of liking it (if that high). I personally like it, but a lot of people think it's just horrible. Same can go for Donny Darco or Naked Lunch.
For Donnie Darko, I can imgane the confusion. Peeps might see it as a psychological analysys movie. But really it truly is a SF movie. But very hard to recognize that, I admit.
