how is the quality of the cafe press stuff? i have never ordered anything through it because of the fact that i think it will be cheaply made.

i haven't seen any t-shirts, but i do know someone who was pleased with the service. the only problem is it is a bit on the expensive side unless you are just doing 1-offs.

Count me in on this item, if it is possible I'll chip in.
Can't think of any wise words to print along with it tho, not at the moment anyway...

One geek at a time.

Hmmm.... Nah, too long. I'm not really into the t-shirt thing.

The stuff from cafe press isn't bad, my band ordered a hoodie from there to see what they were like, their colors were limited (to white I believe), but the hoodie we got is still kickin around, and hasn't faded all that much....

Hi! Ive got tons of info on getting high-quality screened tees made.

I work for an apparel manufacturer in Portland called Models of the Underworld. We run a women's fashion label and sell to chainstores and boutiques around the country (so all of our clothes are made professionally on the right equipment). We also specialize in screened tees for people wanting a tee with an interesting, unique cut. I am so tired of the Hanes Beefy-T and babydoll stuff, ours have raw edges, asymmetry, safety pins... and our screenprinting company is full service, high-volume, industry-priced. We sell our own line of custom tees and also do runs as small as 50 with free graphic time and only $15/color setup fee, which is way less than going through a retail screenprinter. Thats cause we got volume, so we can pass on discounts.
So, if your interested, i can email pricesheets and tell you anything else you want to know about the apparel manufacturing industry!
And no we're not a faceless corporation. The business is run by two young punks and lots of contracted workers, all paid REAL wages, which is not what you're supporting when you get your band tees on stuff like hanes, fruit of the loom, etc.
check out the website to see us at :www.modelsoftheunderworld.com and email me if you want to talk about the tees.
We've been in this game for years and we can help you get in touch with the right people...
