That hurts man.....

Psyche!!!! I really, like Apple, but you can't blame them for trying to pull a Microsoft now that they are leading in various areas.

don't get me wrong, there are some cool apple products, along with the best graphical *nix system out there ( although most mac users don't have a terminal shortcut on the dock and wouldn't know what to do with it if they did ), but there is so much truth to that ad among the general apple cult-like population.

it is so ironic that i was thinking about what this ad says just the other day because there are a lot of mac users in my office. we're a music company and mac *used* to be the only system that could handle audio 'well' for a small time period.

many of those people quickly grew accustom to slogans like 'pc's suck' ( even though they mean windows ) and aquired a mind set that would make it nearly impossible for them to use a Windows operating system in the future because it would make them 'wrong' in the years past if they ended up liking it, and also without the genuine desire to learn a new o/s ( like they did os x ) , you will fumble around and not know how to use it which would give them more fuel to say windows sucks.

that said, i've owned 2 g4's. ( 400mhz and dual 1ghz ) .. i used them for multi-track audio and video recording. the only area where i saw the mac significantly out-perform windows with a similar program was in video editing.

i work next to someone who uses a G5, and as a result, i have no respect for any mac user who bashes MS about crashing because OSX will definately crash more than XP if the user is really using it.

this isn't an ant-mac post, but more of an anti-mac cult post .. i love my iPod, and i like the gui environment of mac ( more for novelty reasons ) , but when i hear mac came out with something new, no matter what it is, i know a lot of people who will have the mindset in which is described in the image of this thread.

While the Mac Mini actually looks cool, and has a pretty good price-point, I don't understand the iPod Shuffle. I just bought a 512 MB SanDisk mp3 player (it also does WMA, but I couldn't care less) that had a nice visual interface, and let you rearrange songs into folders and navigate based on that (it also came with a voice recorder and an FM tuner), and was about the size of a pack of gum. Why would someone want the Shuffle in comparison? No interface, navigation is ham-fisted (it's important if you're listening to something like an audio-book), and should the battery die you're SOL. Granted, being able to just plug it into a USB port and having it recarge itself while in a USB port is cool, but I think they're really just minor features compared to what was left out. What's the point of an Apple product unless it has a really great user interface?
