Ultra Edit Article Writting Contest - Only 4 Days Left

Hey guys,

There are still only 3 articles submitted for the contest.

Chances are pretty darn good to win this one.

Yeah, I know. I really can't think of a good topic.

Good thing we have registered copies of UE at work.

We're still using version 6.20b. Might be worth upgrading to 10.20c, but I don't think I'll do it until they add code folding.

(edit: code folding seems to be the top feature people want in their latest poll. lol )

that would be cool!

my request would be block highlighting like in visual studio.

hold down alt and drag the mouse, .. text will highlight in a block like you were drawing a rectangle .. this is helpful when you need to delete things at the beginning of several lines but don't want to delete the entire line.

Oh. I think you can do that in column mode. Press alt-c then you can sort-of highlight in blocks or columns then delete. I use it quite a bit when cleaning up copy/paste screen shots from vt100 sessions.
