Obviously if a menu makes sense to have more than 7 items (for instance, the listing of languages on the left of Code Newbie), go for it. The idea though is that the human brain can only effectively deal with 7 choices before becoming over-whelmed. Naturally this is more a rule-of-thumb than something set in concrete, but it seems to make sense.

Makes sense!

Anyway here is a freelance job on rentacoder for some basic things doing to the website:
http://rentacoder.com/RentACoder/mis...questId=199603

It's pretty basic and custom, but the bid amount spec is above $500 so bear that in mind!!

EDIT: HAHA this is kinda funny... I found a HotScripts app on GPL

hehe thanks for the links, very informative. I played around with that Real Estate Website software, but it's written in ASP which I'm unfamiliar with. Besides, where's the satisfaction in using a prebuilt package?

Yes, its certainly fun to code something like that yourself (especially if it helps in the learning process). These days my immediate thought is: time. If the structure isn't too bad and is a large enough percent of what I want I'll go with the one that's already built and add onto it.
