| So what political wisdom will die tomorrow? I'm fairly young, but I've been following politics since grade-school, and if there's one thing I've learned it's that each year some long-held, much touted political wisdom dies each year. For instance, it used to be that a President had to win New Hampshire in the primaries in order to win as President. Then both Clinton ('92) and Bush ('00) prove that wisdom wrong. It also used to be that the party in the White House lost seats in off elections; 1998 and 2002 both shot that down. Any guesses as to what "common knowledge" the talking heads spout is going to be wrong this year? |
