Not as smooth as expected =)

I'm having some problems with mod rewrite .. it was working in my development area, .. just not here .. the only thing it's disturbing that i can see is the articles.

I'm not liking the looks of the forums too much either .. give me a few days to get things back to normal.

this new forum theme is hard on my eyes, difficult to read, .. maybe cause i was used to the old one, .. but i'm still going to try to make it better.

mod rewrite just crapped out on me. it was re-writing the url just fine for articles before i moved it up 1 directory.

that's funny, it wasn't showing up in firefox.

interesting though, .. firefox doesn't mind nested html comments.

thanks for pointing that out .. i'm sure there's more bugs to come =)

Opera puts the top menu a little out of place, with the items overlaping the edge a bit. Actually, there are a few other oddities with Opera I've noticed in respect to placement, but they're in situations such as if I shrink the window to about 75% of it's normal size, which I rarely do so it doesn't matter too much. Still, you might want to fire it up and take a look around the site to catch any lingering bugs.

Also, is there any way to get the quick-reply back?

that's actually a vbulletin feature =) .. i like it too.

i'm using div tags with absolute positioning for the top nav and banner. i'll probably be changing that soon to just hard coded tables and cut up graphics like the old site.

yesterday i had the left nav in a div tag as well, but it would cause trouble when the site shrunk horizontally. the content went behind the nav.

i'm sure i'll be busy over the next few days

Thanks for putting the quick-reply back

I was playing around with the user settings, and noticed that in the Avatar section, none of the avatar images load up. Might want to check it out.

I'll say nay, just because I don't think they're necessary. But, on the other-hand, they really aren't annoying either.

I'm not a big fan of the menu on the left taking up extra space, but we'll see.

If would be nice if it could fold up (some js menu thing).
