Personal sites such as blogs, or sites you are not making money from are just fine. We encourage this.

Please don't take offense as this is how we ensure the quality of the information you may get here. Otherwise, you would see people replying to month old posts all day long for the purpose of SEO.

Once you are around a while and everyone knows you are not just here to spam your site, there will be no problem with including your business links in your signature.
