Epiphany 6 Studios is comprised of a small group of extremely talented individuals with industry experience in game development and Mod-making. We are in the process of geting funding for a large FPS project, and with that in mind, we are puting our team and its resources to the test with a smaller, but still challenging game concept.
We prefer a small form-factor type of Team, in which each person knows more or less what the person next to her is doing; where we support each other, and where we can get our creative juices flowing...
Once this first project is nearing completion, the search for a Publisher will commence (we already have some interested), and all else failing, we'll self-publish the title online.
The point is to develop e6's Company Resume, and develop our market credentials.
About
Strive On Conflict
SoC is a Turn-Based Strategy game, losely based on the
Advance Wars concept.
The Evil Prion Empire has used its Time Travelling technology to go back in time and alter our military history.
The job of the player will be to go back in time and assist the Generals in regaining back our military victories.
You'll play side by side with Alexander the great, Napoleon, Patton, and other generals, not only from the distant past, but also in the future.
Play-style will be isometric tiled 3D. Game style will be cartoon-like, but maintaining a certain degree of seriousness regarding the acuracy of historic events and their portrail.
Position: Shader Programmer
Type: Part-Time; May evolve into Full-Time/Staff
Position Description
e6 Studios is currently seeking a talented Shader Programmer to work with a dedicated team in developing games and technology demos for the PC platform.
Our current project is a Turn-Based Tactical game in the same genre as "Advance Wars", tentavely titled "Strive on Conflict".
Project length will be 3 to 4 months, but the Shader Programmer will develop shader code not only for this, but for future titles too.
Requirements
- Technicaly Proficient in Shader Programming under nVidia's Cg Language/ HLSL, or under GL Shading Language (GLSL)
Optional Requirements
- Has C++ programming experience;
- Has experience in plug-in development.
Responsabilites
- To develop shader programs for an up and coming 3D engine, using techniques such as normal mapping, parallax mapping, etc.
- To assist the Art Dptm. and consult with the Tools Dptm. on
how to better achieve the desired visual effects, and how to better develop the engine tools.
Payment Formats
- Work done will be payed upon on a per-project, or per-work-unit basis.
- Payment will consist on a percentage of profits made by the game
- Actual percentage to be discussed with the aplicant
- Possibility for a full-time and well payed position in a fully funded FPS project.
