For people who are good at technical writing

My company asked me to research for a certain software package that will meet our needs. I was appointed the task to go out and find this software, and hand in a report of which could be possible packages that fits our company infrastructure.
Im not a very good technical writer, so is there anyone here that might know of any resources that has guidelines for this?

I have a book here that might not be of much use to you voer there but i advise you buy a book for yourself on technical writing.

You will need it in future I reckon so it's always good to have one on hand.

Here it is, even though it's quite oldish:

Technical Report Writing Today by Steven Pauley

it's so old the writing is fading on the cover and there's no ISBN nor publisher's details... ^_^;;

Very helpful!!

Instead just try for this book
or even at this link or even this one

Oh sod it, have a look for yerself!

I still recommend a book because they have been looked over by pros and editors and are complete rather then a shoddy webpage. You can read it in the tube or in work whilst you may not with a webpage.

Thanks, but i found a site that had a software recommendation report. Im just going to use their outline. I took a course in tech writing already, but they only taught us how to write Resumes, Cover Letters and SRS' which are a pain in the ass. I'd be a happy man if i never have to write another SRS again in my life.
