Long time since I updated this. I am now working with Open Circle developing PHP and AJAX. We do a lot of Drupal development as well. I'm working out of my home office so it's a nice change from the big corporate world.

Ok, I noticed I've been away from this thread for some time since my last Update .

To keep everyone up to speed, I've served my time in the army so that's in the past now

At the moment I'm working as a project manager for LEO Pharma. Currently leading a team of 35 programmers, and expanding with 16 more january 1.st, so at the moment I'm kinda busy, but it's not as stressfull as it was 6 month ago

My update:
I'm a lead dba for a "major banking institution". This is likely not going to last through 2008 given the current state of things. I am still holding out hope that I can do IT part time while pursuing other interests.

@redhead: stressfull?
Aren't there any drugs in your company that compensate that?

Sorry DjM, no help from that department , the mainline of drugs are either blood coagulating/thinnering, bone marrow strengthening, or rash/scrapings curring.
For that other effect, Lundbech would be a better place, and the fact that I live about a mile from them, might be a reason to head for them next

I guess I should update too. I'm a Pipeline Programmer at a Visual Effects company in Los Angeles. It's mostly perl stuff.

Hello all. I'm a new member (but I used to hang out here a long time ago). Just trying to find a place to help with coding and to learn more about coding.

Now with introductions out of the way...

I'm a java developer with a financial company. Hopefully that will change soon. I'd like to find a python job somewhere, but they're somewhat hard to come by.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife, playing video games and guitar.

real world

Hey everyone! I post and reply here once in awhile so I thought I'd reply in this thread's update/resurgence.

I finished my BSc in Computer Science last year. I am now trying my hand at freelance web development while keeping a part-time computer upkeep/consulting job to maintain some sort of steady cash flow.
Currently I'm working on PHP/MySQL projects as I try to gain expertise in that area.
dazz.

The Real World is anything outside the Matrix.

My Update: I have left the corporate world (real world?) to take time off to write fiction. I'm starting a collection of magazine rejection letters. I'm also going to do independent consulting eventually-- hopefully part time.
