Would you mind if there were small flash elements at code newbie?

A while back, I made a logo for code newbie in flash. There was 1 or 2 issues from people using new browsers with no flash installed on linux.

It was for this reason I made a no-flash policy here at Code Newbie.

So, .. since I am getting such good feedback on the resolution post, I want to ask here.

What do you think about incorporating minor flash elements here at Code Newbie .. I'm not talking about making the site a flash site by any means .. just perhaps a small flash movie in place of an image here and there.

I personally dislike the use of flash in websites, it is slow and simply, flashy. I find a nice looking layout, navigation, and a good color scheme on a site much more aesthetically kind than anything flash could do.

yes, i do know what you mean.

they way i'm thinking of implementing little bits, would hardly be noticable.

it would be more like images in flash rather than flash as we all know it .. all navigation and site layout would be html/css.

it would be so light, i'm not concerned about it looking flashy, i'm concerned about it making someone who doesn't have flash installed have some lame thing popup and say 'get flash'.

well i think i will skip on the flash then .. if people out there block it .. no sense in having it on a site like this.

i really don't have a reason to block flash, I rarely visit sites that have it/ over do it
