| Well the one test I just passed which was 70-305 I had courses in college over, but the other ones I am using books. I found that PrepLogic books give you the best material as far as giving you the scoop on how all ths material applies to the 'real' world, but doesn't really prepare you for the test.
What I have been doing is reading over all the material and getting a good understanding and then doing a braindump before taking the exam. The MS test has too many tricky questions and ask too many obscure questions for you to get through it with the normal study material out there.
I know thats probably not the best approach to take, but I feel that If I learn the material and use a braindump to get the through the test, my skills from the material I learned will not call my certification creditantials into question.
On the other hand my boss at work is just doing the braindumps and not taking the time to learning the material. Its people like this is why the MS certs are losing their value everyday.
Now for the difference between the MCAD and MCSD. Think of it like college (if you went) You have your core major classes, which would be the MCAD, and then you have all the other classes along with your major classes to make you a 'well rounded' individual, that would be the MCSD. Did that make any sense?
