Degrees online?

Does anyone know of some schools that give degrees in information technology with online or correspondence courses? It need not be an accredited school, I'm looking for something cheap and fast, just to get the paper. Heheh.

I've heard good things about University of Phoenix online, although I've yet to take any courses online. They do have an IT program, among others.

Yeah, but that's an actual 4 year school. What I was kinda hoping for, although I was beating around the bush in saying it, is if anyone knows one of those papermill type of schools -- the kind where you pay them like $300 and take a test and they send you a degree. But it has to be in Information Technology.

UOP sucks really really bad. I took one class, and the inner workings were very very shady.

First off, all classes are 3 weeks long, and you have to do it all over an IMAP mail server. On top of that, it costs $400 a credit hour!!

They swear up and down financial aid will go through, and start you up immediatly. Then you realize the government isn't stupid enough to give aid for a school that costs so freaking much. I saw a lot of students get caught in the financial aid first class dept. I'm just glad I paid for my first up front to make sure "financial aid" did go through.

In a nutshell, even if you had the money to pay for it, the classes really sucked. There really wasn't much teaching at all.

Getting a degree in CS or CE from an accredited university isn't going to be a quick process, probably better off going for certs.

And if a prospective employer finds out you have a "Columbia State" type diploma, it's as likely to get you black-listed as a job.

No, no, I said it doesn't have to be an accredited school at all. There's no employer to worry about, either. I'm a self-employed web designer/programmer. But occasionally I have a prospective client ask me what my degree is in. I just don't want to have to say, "Oh, I don't have one. I'm self-taught."

99.9% of them would never check out the school, anyway, but if they did at least I wouldn't get caught lying.
