with web it's easy though. if that sorta advertising bothers me, i won't visit that site.
i don't think it would be that widely spread just for the simple fact that there are millions of websites. ( i think ) .. well at least more than the few hundred channels my local cable company offers anyway.
if the site was offering some great service for free, then i might be willing to sit through it though.
