Is there any way to turn ProFTP into a SFTP server?

Don't know if you'd noticed, but OpenSSH's implementation of SFTP is a tad bit limited in comparison to ProFTP's standard FTP functionality.

Well, poking arounda bit, apparently SFTP isn't FTP at all, but an FTP clone utilizing SCP. That explains a bit.

That's why it's called
secure
and by default comes with the OSSH package, truely I don't see why you need to add lots of functionality to an ftp client, just move the damn file, complexity is just gonna lead to application vulnerabilities

Because I want people to make a secure connection but don't want to give them an account on the machine? And I'm talking servers, not clients.
