codenewbie browser/system stats

well, since this is a code site, i thought you all might enjoy seeing this feature i'm working on.

basically added a few tables to the database, and used the useragent class i made to log browser and system information so we can all see what type of crowd codenewbie attracts =)

www.codenewbie.com/user.php

it's only showing results for users who have logged in the last day .. and as people login more, it will log and report their stats too.

this will be a regular feature on the new design i'm working on. i think the new design will be a welcome face lift =)

after we launch the new design, we'll start advertising again so things should pick up around here.

Well looking the chart, I am the only full-time Mac OSX/Safari user here. But I kinda knew that already.

hehe .. 'full time' is the key word there.

i set the system up so it only reports people it has logged.

we have over 700 members .. but only 20+ have signed on within the last couple days. ( our regulars )

as more people sign on, we will get a better idea of the actual statistics. notice i put the actual number of members it is counting on the top.

to get more people to log in, we can do things like send out mass emails, .. but we try to save that type of things for special occasions. ( like the launch of our re-design =)

i'm excited and happy to be working on a site that i see gets used. that justifies all the work in my book.
