wow!

i recently had an interesting endevor with domain resalers... my father has wanted a domain for the last year.. and these people wanted to sell it for $8,000 cause they new it was his business name and that he would probably pay it ...

after watching it very closely, i noticed it expired 4/19 . and they did not renew.. so 40 days after it expired the registrar released the domain and the day it was released i got it for $17.

then the previous registrar was the same as my registrar and i asked them if they could expidite the transfer cause it was my father's birthday .. and they activated it the same day for me =)

it was kinda neat to suprise my dad with his comming soon logo on the domain he wanted.

uhh.... too much information ? hehe... it was fun

that's what happens sometimes.. ya get lucky.. good for your dad.. he waited it out....

did he have a TM or SM on his name? If so anyone can go through WIPO and get the name if there is a protected TM on that name..

Good read here!
