hmm. I'm not sure what you mean by cross linking, but if you're thinking of having a link to a thread from say the C/C++ forum also available as a thread in the Java forum, then thats an act a moderator can perform on any thread here.

What I meant was a F.F.A but that has the newbie code brand to it or maybe a search engine were we can place links to our web sites.

Thats not a bad idear, once mike gets done with the new design of codenewbie, it might be a thing to look into.

i love ideas .. thanks .. we seriously need a banner exchange program, and some different codenewbie banners people can use.

here's a mix of my own opinion and answers to some of those poll questions regarding codenewbie.

Is the war over?
no war polls because we don't need politics and such here... there's pleanty of other places where people can argue.

maybe this will be good for the new design launch.

probably be a better post than a poll .. always taking suggestions =)

Should we have support for flash applets on this forum?
we decided no flash because we like to make it a great place for *nix people to visit without their browsers blowing up. i know ther is flash player for linux browsers, but it's not installed by default, and sometimes doesn't install very easy yet.

Do you use affiliate services?
yes, we should .. we'll work on that along with the banner exchange.

What's the best way to incerase web sites traffic?
we found advertising works well, .. just costs a lot. we plan to advertise after the launch of the new site to boost traffic a bit.
