I'm so international
Ok, well, no I just know a little more about cell phones than the average joe.
1) Yeah it's kind of difficult.
2) SMS is a form of text messaging that, if I'm not misinformed, isn't commonly used in the US. We have a different (or a couple different) standard(s) where as all of Europe has a standard making it super easy and convenient and common for people to use text messaging over anything else there. Cool huh?
3) The Euro is currently at it's highest point over the dollar EVER, not a good time to be travelling there for Americans, just don't tell my girlfriend that. One Euro is worth about 1.85 American.
4) GSM is a standard for cell phones that has been adopted in Europe and is slowly rearing it's head in America. Know all those super nifty phones they're trying to sell you now? They're GSM, they can do lots more stuff with the same amount of power, they're also more expensive but you better bite the bullet because the networks they're building aren't going to be backwards compatible with the cellphone you currently have so you have to buy a new one. Isn't it funny that you always have to spend more money and they dont?
5) Sure.
