Hi all, need some critiquing

Hi all,

I am about 75% done with my high school senior project and I basically want to see what you guys think. My senior project was basically a website about an academy at our school and my intended audience is basically someone who doesn't know about the academy and wants to get some information or someone who needs to see what's happening in the academy, basically an information and news source.

Just to note, this is probably not my best web designing ability. I know that there are some things wrong with it (I probably should've made smaller buttons for people with resolutions smaller than 1024x768) and some other miniscule things here and there. I really procastinated on this project. This project was supposed to keep me busy the whole year long and I basically finished it in about a month. In my proposal, I told the judges that I didn't know a lot about web designing, so hopefully they will believe that this took me a considerable amount of time.

I am going to present this on May 16 or 17th and I basically want to tell the panel of judges that I did recieve some sort of review on this site and used the responses that I got into the site.

This site will be completly done by Sunday (it is due on Monday, April 28). Right now, I believe I have two links missing.

Any comments would help! Thanks!

I think it looks pretty good. It's a little sparse on content but with the two more links it will be better.

What do you mean by an "academy" I never had academys in my school? Is it like a school group or something?

Anyway, good luck and my advice to you if you decide to go to college, don't procrastinate! There's almost no leeway to do it so just don't even try.

Not bad for a high school project. Most of the text is too big, especially the graphic text buttons and the logo. The white box at the bottom of each page is confusing, it looks like it doesn't belong there.

It's a good idea to design your pages to look good at 800 X 600 resolution because, believe it or not, the majority of Web surfers are still running at this setting (thankfully hardly anyone still uses 640 X 480).

I got JavaScript errors on the staff page, but that may be because you haven't finished coding yet.

You could improve on the text layout and proximity. For example on the "About" page, the vertical spacing between the paragraph titles and the text blocks is funky. It would look better if you use only one line break after the title instead of two, indent your paragraphs, and split the "About this site" text block into two paragraphs because of the length.

But those are just details. Overall it looks good for a senior project, much better than a lot that I've seen.
